About The Organisation
Brief History
OGCEYOD
The Organization for Gender, Civil Engagement and Youth Development is a non-governmental organization, which was created on the 17th of July 2005 by young talented and proactive Cameroonians as Pollution Free Environment (POFEN) with its main objective being combating environmental challenges and climate change.
Its members at the time then reviewed and modified the name, vision, mission and objectives of the organization to meet the pressing challenges of children, youths and women in Cameroon and Africa.
The changes gave birth to Organization for Gender, Civic Engagement and Youth Development (OGCEYOD) with legalization by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization on the 6th of October 2005 (Reg. Nº 640/G.13/D.14/1/VOL.9/T/OAPP), the Ministry of Youth Affairs on the 19th of June 2008 (Reg. Nº 019/MINJEUN/DDYAFL/DD) and at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on the 14th June 2011 (Reg. Nº SW/GP/038/11/10109).
